how do you guys feel about expansion?

I've heard some different plans such as:

take all 35 conferences and have their conference tournaments around the same time, then take the 35 winners and seed them in 2 brackets of 16 with 3 play-in games

expand from 65 to 68...and have 4 play-in games

expand to 72 with 8 play-in games

etc.

but here is my proposal...

expand to 96

the season champion and the tournament champion of each conference automatically get a bid in the tournament...if every single conference had a different season and tourney winner there would still be 26 at-large bids to give out, but the chances of that happening are slim so you're probably going to have like 40 at-large bids

the first 8 seeds get a bye with everyone else playing a play-in game....this would make the 1/16 match-up and the 2/15 match-ups much more entertaining, not to mention the closer seeds such as the 8/9 and 7/10 games

it'll never happen, but what do you guys think?
